Serambi
The raised timber platform also known as a 'serambi' in Malay which is typically found in many Malay traditional homes. It is commonly used for guest entertaining or as a gathering place for family activities like playing the 'congkak', a common traditional game to a Malay household or simply to relax and chit chat after a hard day's work.

Traditional Vases
Malaysian pottery is made with aesthetic quality by talented individuals by combining their aspiration from nature, culture or religion. Often unglazed and made of clay, each of the traditional vases or pots is colourful and unique while others served as utensils or device in the household. Each fine carving and engraving are made while the vases or pot are still semi dried.

Cultural Dance
Dive into the rich and diverse Malaysian culture in Malaysia cultural dance show and be amazed with the graceful repertoire of dances and beautiful traditional costumes. The Iban male warriors are seen in loincloth and head gear called 'Ketapu tunjang' holding a customary shield and spear dancing the Ngajat. The Indian folk dancers are dressed in their colourful mishmash attire and glittering accessories from head to toe performing their 'Bharatanatyam' or 'Kathak' dance. Demure Malay lady dancers in the beautiful 'songket', an intricate weaved fabric of gold or silver threats will entice you with their graceful Layang Emas dance.

Cultural Dance
The graceful Malaysian ladies are apparent in the potpourri of dance show. The Chinese fan dance portrays acrobatic moves and skillful handling of the fan while the middle-eastern influences in the Malay community and culture which transpires in their dance called 'Zapin Samra'.

The Mask Cultural Dance
The Mask cultural dance of Mah Meri tribe is a unique dance that reflects the rituals of the people such as full moon celebration. Originating from Carey Island, Selangor, Mah Meri is a subgroup of Senois. The dancers wear masks that portray the characteristics of good and joker spirits.

Traditional Rebana Ubi
"Rebana Ubi" is synonymous to the Malay community of Terengganu and Kelantan. It is the only drum that is embellished with patterns and decoration at the sides and on top. It can either be placed horizontally or vertically. Back in the days, "rebana" sounds off different tunes to deliver warnings or signals from wedding and danger. Nowadays, they are mostly played during special ceremonies or performences.

Karyaneka
For a modern designed craft that combines traditional elements with contemporary forms Karyaneka offers an array of choices. Witness the delicate Malaysian touches in forms of ceramic, pewter, wood, glass, crystal, brass and Batik with high quality. A striking structure serves as a counter in the middle of the store is embellished with whimsical floral wood carvings of 'bunga raya' or hibiscus. The 'cucur atap' or the horizontal eaves are individually carved and placed to wrap around its roof.

The Labu Sayang Fountain
Nestled in the corner of Matic's beautifully landscaped garden is a water feature which comprises traditional Malaysian potteries and water pitcher shaped structures known as 'Labu Sayung'. Traditionally used to store drinking water, it keeps the water cool as it is made of clay. Complementing the water feature are cascading steps which lead up to a curved shaped panelled wall.

Traditional Carving Arts of Borneo Ironwood
Each post in the entrance is made of Borneo Ironwood or 'kayu berlian' in  Malay, adorning carvings with leaves and flowers motif of Ehe Ulu or Dayak tribe of Sarawak. The wood is exceptionally strong and high resistance to nature which made it commonly used outdoor. Structures made of the Borneo ironwood may last for centuries despite constant exposure to rain or sun.

Cultural Street Light
Malaysia street lamps are properly design and embellished  with gold detailing. These unique lamp posts with ornate design of swirly motif are made of brass and aluminium to not only used to light the street and compound but also to decorate and complement its beautiful landscape.

Malaysia Tourism Centre
Amidst the concrete jungle of Kuala Lumpur, between the majestic twin tower of KLCC and the monumental KL Tower, in a charming colonial building nestled in its lush green landscape and flower beds, resides the Malaysia Tourism Centre. As a one stop centre, Malaysia Tourism Centre serves tourist and much more. Through my journey around the complex, I was able to capture the essence of 'Get to know Malaysia @ Malaysia Tourism Centre' by looking at the many Malaysian identities placed all over its compound.

Timber Staircase
The 'balusters' are made of wooden intricate carvings, each holding up the long swooping 'banister' or the handrail.

Cultural Flower Vases
Different species of beautiful flowers in vases of all shapes and sizes at building and aisles or tucked away to decorate each little nooks and crannies. These flower vases create a warm welcoming ambience for the guests.
